We aren't quite sure what's up with Solemn Ted. After all he's made from the finest
tipped and blended imported mohair. So he can't be distressed about his looks. And he is bound to find a great new home.
So his future looks bright. But still there's that solemn look. Maybe it's just a touch of Puritan in his BNA.
Or maybe the cold, cruel world is getting him down. You know Teddy Bears bear a great responsibility what with
lifting other folks spirits all the time with hardly a day off except for Christmas
every other year. Teddy Bears are a tough and hardy lot but they have a sensitive side. Maybe Ted was tired of holding
it all in or maybe he's just looking for a friend.

7.5" bear handcrafted from soft curly mohair made from the fleece of baby Angora goats
|
Stearnsy Bits and Pieces Bears are made from different pieces of material that we have left over
from the process of making bigger bears. Much of the material we use to make Stearnsy Bears is expensive and unique and even if it
wasn't we would still not want it to go to waste. So when there is not enough of any particular material to make a bear with
we save it and then we put together for our Bits and Pieces Bears.
It makes for some really special bears.

"Simplicity and self-reliance, The Stearnsy Bears' motto."
Walden is just waiting to make someone a stout hearted companion, faithful and true.
Walden believes that simplicity is a virtue. To that end, his only earthly possessions are his 1960s era
"Adam Furst" bow tie and the box it came in. A close friend loaned him the chair. Walden does not believe
the measure of a bear is earthly possessions. Walden stands ready to supply the kind of friendship that Teddy Bears do best.
To always be there no matter what the circumstance, to always have a cheerful demeanor, and to treat those he meets like he
would wish to be treated. You can't ask for more than that.
Walden is around 22" tall and weighs in at 3.83 lbs. He is made from a really distinctive mohair material called Mecki. It's an old Steiff Color. He's a good bear. |
This 10" bear is made from pieces of classic gold and brown German mohair.

Ozark Mountain Yeti Bear."Hootin and Hollerin." Which is no more than you would expect from the Ozark Yeti
and don't call me, Bigfoot, please. He's my uncle's mother's cousin. Of course many people think only of Nepal when you mention Yeti.
Those folks haven't been to the Ozarks. The Ozark branch of the Yetis did originate there. First mentioned in 1832, the James Prinsep's
Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal published trekker B. H. Hodgson's account of the Yeti in northern Nepal. That was us.
Over the years the Ozark Yetis have become quite civilized from living in close proximity to the Ozark Mountain Hillbillies.
It does rub off. Other than a penchant for hootin and hollerin at inopportune times, the Ozark Yeti is quite well behaved.
Just don't take him to any funerals. This great 12" tall bear is made from a white color German Schulte mohair. It has a 3 inch pile and it is lovely.
It is also the most expensive mohair we have ever used.
