Honey Child Sweeter than sugar

Young Stanley When the back yard was like the big leagues. Young Stanley dreams of growing up to be the Man. His mama made his uniform and glove. And he wears it every day and it feels fine. And dreams from the back yard sometimes slip over into real life. You never know. Stanley is about 22" tall. Vicky did make his uniform from an old kid's uniform. She hand embroidered the Birds On The Bat and it is sweet. His little ball hat is ancient and his glove is homemade.

Just Right. Not too big and not too little. A wonderful baby bear all bundled up and ready to go home. Just right is about 4" tall and made from string mohair. She comes in her old ceramic baby buggy, tucked in with baby blanket and wearing a wee bear size diaper. Her name says it all.

Mary Jane. Daddy's little darling". Mary Jane is enjoying a bright sunny day in the
back yard in the swing her daddy made for her. She likes to remind people that even in the hustle and hassle of the world today, that there is still a beauty to be enjoyed in God's creation.

Ready to head off for his first day at the Old Spencer one room house. Bright eyed and bushy tailed (so to speak for a bear) Jimbo is off to his first day. He is just as pleased as punch to be wearing brand new hand me down overalls (or as we call them in the Ozarks, overhauls) that his Ma made. Ready for readen, writen, and rithmatic. Not to much hickory stick hopefully. So when he grows up he'll be a well educated Teddy bear. Jimbo is part of our heart of the Ozarks Collection. These are Stearnsy Bears that remind us of and reflect the values and attitude of folks here in the Ozarks. There actually was a Spencer School North of MT Vernon, MO and my late dad Jim Stearns (Papa Bear) walked there everyday. What he was taught there stayed with him for a lifetime. Many times with a biscuit and a piece of sausage for lunch and wearing overalls that his brother Loren had worn before. Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven

Silver Belle. Ragged but wonderful. Silver Belle is a 22" inch bear made
from a vinatge coat. She is wearing a 1930s era gown and bonnet. It is a bit fragile but ragged or not, it is her favorite.
Silver Belle is a Great Depression baby, so she is thankful just to have a pretty gown even if it may not be perfect.

Sugar Babe. When you need a little sweetener in your life. Sugar Babe is a 16" bear
handcrafted from premium mohair. She is dressed in a swell 1920s era gown and she has the best old bow with vintage flowers that we have ever used. We start the story with a Stearnsy like Sugar Babe but the ending is up to you.
