Lord, keep dosing me with that free medicine the writer of Proverbs promises. Grant me a merry heart, a joyful spirit, a more cheerful disposition. Thank you for daily renewal and refreshment. Thanks for smiles and laughter. For I believe the evil one loves sadness and laughs at the brokenhearted. And he never stops working to make it so. He twists the truth, he clouds the eyes, he whispers discouragement, he loves to make it look like there is no way out. So I know I need your help. I need not only the big parts of grace I need the small joys it brings as well. I need the love of my wife, I need the smiles of my friends, I need the touch and the prayers of others. I need small your small helps and large to live well. And not just live but to live like you mean for me to, with a white heart, unbroken spirit, a freed soul. Eternally and daily sustained by your grace. Tickled pink by your love for me. Secure in my faith that it's not about me but it's always and forever about you. And I know you. Thanks and Amen.
