In 2001 we celebrated our 20th Anniversary in the Teddy Bear Business. To mark that milestone, Vicky Stearns created a new bear pattern. Since then the bears handcrafted from that pattern have called anniversary bears. Simple huh? That how we work around here. We have a God given talent but it isn't rocket science. Each anniversary bear is around 7" to 8" tall. They are classic style, hard stuffed and fully jointed. We use an incredibly diverse range of materials in making these bears. From the finest mohair to vintage coats, we have also used antique piano scarfs to the upholstery fabric that was on the back of Granny's couch. Also watch for our "bits and pieces bears" that we create from the small pieces of leftover mohair. We never know what kind of bear may show. These bears are all priced in the $25 to $60 range and can be the start to a wonderful collection or a one of a kind gift. Stearnsy Bears are not just great when they are new but they are still going to be treasured 50 years from now and beyond. Any of our mohair material or synthetic material Anniversary Bears are stout hearted enough for a child to play with. They are also all child safe with safety eyes and earth friendly materials. It's the kind of bear your child can play with as hard as they want to but can still have when they are old enough to have kids of their own. But as always they are good for big babies too.
