We had a lady come by the shop and she had a mink jacket that she wanted to sell. She said if we bought it, the money would be going to help poor families. Maybe that was the truth or maybe not. But what she had was a lovely piece in mint condition. Most of it was a pretty traditional color that makes a great looking bear. But what really intrigued us was on one sleeve and a bit of the collar were some streaks of a beautiful honey gold color. It was beautiful but really unusual that it was just on the one sleeve. We loved it but aren't sure even yet if it was made that way or if somehow as it aged or because of the way it was stored the color changed. There wasn't enough of it to do a whole bear so we used that sleeve in places where it would show up. We have never had a bear just like this. It's one of the things that we have learned and are still learning about the infinite variety that comes from vintage minks and other furs.
