Calvin and Lisa came by our shop in the early part of December 2008. They were a lovely couple on their way to Springfield, MO to see their new grandson Isaac. Isaac was born 16 weeks premature and was living in the Cox Hospital NICU. They wanted him to have a special bear and that is all we offer. They were gracious enough to send us these pictures and this wonderful poem. Part of the privilege in the teddy bear business is the great people we get to meet.

Hi Folks, We were there a month or so ago, and bought a wonderful bear for our grandson who was born 16 weeks premature and was staying in the Springfield Cox NICU. You gave us a discount, and I promised you a picture when I gave it to him. He just came home this week, and I am attaching a couple of pictures of him with his bear. I also wrote a poem to tell him what the bear symbolized to us.

To our dearest Isaac:

We don't know why you came so early,
>From your warm and comfortable place,
Maybe you were just anxious,
for us to see your angel face.

Weekly, we gladly made the long trip
just to watch you as you slept.
We learned every milestone, every exit
All very boring, except....

There was a billboard that told of a magical bear
Not cotton nor sawdust was his stuffing made of.
No, this was a very special bear
filled with kisses and hugs, wrapped 'round a heart of love.

And I told your grandma, "Isaac must have this bear.
It's the only one that will do."
And on this day of your homecoming,
we give this magical bear to you.

When your grandma and I have gone to rest,
You'll always be under our care,
You'll know how much we loved you,
Every time you hold your bear.

And one day you can pass this love on to your children,
Embodied in this bear's furry chest.
And they too will have no doubt,
That they are cherished and loved and blessed.
