This group of Stearnsy Girls have survived the Great Depression with their dignity and humor intact. While their outfits maybe a bit ragged their grace is still intact. A couple of weeks ago we bought a little trunk that had these depression era pieces in it. Bobby is sitting in the poor little trunk itself. The clothes inside were like the trunk itself, perhaps a bit worse for wear, but to our eyes, still wonderful. In the lid there was a note written that said, these doll clothes belonged to my mom. We found it a bit sad that somehow through time or perhaps through not caring that these things that were a treasure to us, were lost to a family. But be that as it may we were thrilled to have them. They have been well loved and we hope that the bears we have dressed in them will be future treasure for someone else. Miz Rose's dress is fragile but we are charging you any extra for that. You can find a new dress anywhere but you will never find another one like this. Vicky fashioned Bobby's gown from some beautiful linen. Each of these bears is made from premium mohair and they are all around 9" tall.
We know this is time of uncertainty for many people. We feel it as well. But long after this time has passed, as it will, these bears will still be faithful friends. Each of these one of kind Stearnsy Bears is $125 or $300 for the set.
