Lorene Carlton Glover. "Dashing Young Dr. Glover's Beautiful Wife." Known as Nana to her family.Lorene Glover was a saintly soul. She married the dashing Dr. Kenneth Glover in 1929. "Take 2 apples and call me in the morning." Mrs glover was a pillar in the local community and in her church. Mrs Glover is dressed and ready for Sunday services. Her outfit is a wonderful navy blue dress and hat from all vintage pieces. It is accented by a lovely old silk rose and old flowers on her hat. Her fur stole is a piece from a stole that Lorene Glover actually owned. One day not long ago a lady we know from Mt Vernon, MO came into the shop with a very bruised and tattered mink stole. She told me that it had actually belonged to Mrs Glover but somehow her dog had gotten hold of it and the stole was destined for the trash. But she thought of us and I'm glad she did. So while there was much left we hate to let anything go to waste. so we savaged this little piece and now our Mr's Glover Stearnsy Bear is wearing a fur from Mrs Glover's stole. Funny how things work out. Lorene Glover was a fine Christian lady and it is our privilege to offer a small tribute to her. While I was writing this the local paper came and I saw that the real Loren Carlton Glover had died on the 18th of August at the age of 100. So I had have added her obituary. She truly was an old friend and this world is just a tiny bit less bright without her.
